Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician for the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) in the lab of Dr. Monica Driscoll in the Nelson Labs Building, Busch Campus.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides professional level laboratory technical support duties involving the application of scientific research methods and techniques. Performs a variety of tasks devoted to understanding the biology of healthy aging, exercise and proteostasis using the C. elegans genetics model. Conducts C. elegans survival and mobility assays as part of a multi-institution team dedicated to discovery of heath span and lifespan-promoting interventions. Handles data organization and statistical analysis. Strains generation and maintenance. C. elegans genetic crosses, strain maintenance, genotyping, freezing.
