This senior level position is responsible for providing support in acquisition of TxDOT ROW and/or other governmental entities, condemnation (including hearing coordination), and relocation (residential and business).

Responsibilities Provide support in the following areas:Acquisition of TxDOT ROW and/or other governmental entitiesCondemnation, including hearing coordinationRelocation (Residential and Business)Ability to take on more complicated acquisitions and larger workloadsAnalyze parcels and ROW maps to evaluate potential conflicts Perform technical and administrative work as applicableNegotiation for acquisition of real property to achieve closing and meet letting schedule requirementsConduct County record searches for property informationAbility to review title and clear possible curative issuesMay coordinate right-of-way and utility issues for clients - generally related to construction projectBe familiar with federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC and Uniform Relocation ActPerform activities to support Real Property Projects such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination and utility relocation/coordinationEnsure schedule and budget performance, while complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as client's policies and proceduresDeliver documents and materials within project area as needed/daily.Works in office managing/preparing files and documents as well as in the field meeting with property owners.Prepares reports and recommendations as directed by project manager.Reports to, seeks advice and coordinates with project manager and/or supervisor.Maintains complete and accurate files, as appropriate, pursuant to project specific requirements.Works efficiently to maximize productivity, quality, and service.Responsible for completing assignments within allotted time, and to report exceptions to manager.Light travel may be necessary (1-3 overnight stays)Must be able to lift small boxes up to 25 pounds Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred or minimum of 5 – 7 years of exp. in similar or like field4+ years of experience with Texas Department of Transportation right of way projects with a proficiency in negotiation, relocation, and eminent domain coordination processes in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Act or specific state laws preferred.Knowledge of TxDOT policy and procedures
Texas Real Estate licenseIRWA Certifications (SR/WA, R/W-NAC, R/W-RAC, RWP, etc.)Valid Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required.Ideal traits: professional, positive; responsible; responsive; highly organized; analytical; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to work in team situationsDetail oriented, proactive individual who takes ownership of workWorking knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, OutlookMust be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish (conversational minimum)
