Responsibilities:
Perform field data collection and office data processing, as well as the management of data.Perform quality control and quality assuranceWork with aerial, mobile, and static LiDAR datasets with cross-training into other mapping disciplinesUse of UAS Aerial Drones, Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial LiDAR scanners, digital levels, photography, and other data collection tools and softwareAbility to read and interpret drawings, topographic maps, and real property descriptionsProjects may include the use of hand tools, including a bush axe, machete, or sledgehammerOccasionally travel out of town for up to two weeks at a timeMaintain supplies and equipmentProject management and follow-through of tasksScheduling and coordination across GPI departmentsProposal preparation and proposal developmentQualifications:
Licensed Delaware Surveyor or ability to obtain a license within 9 months is preferableAssociates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of experienceProject management and scheduling experienceProposal preparation experienceExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStationKnowledge of Geometry and TrigonometryExperience in field surveying practices and proceduresExperience in drafting and reproduction methodsExperience in land recording and conveyance proceduresBackground check and drug testing will be required for projects on Federal facilities
