In this role, you will:

Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterpriseDeliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activitiesProvide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterpriseEnsure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managedStrategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Experience analyzing large sets of Business, Product and Customer data, applying statistical significance testing, creating forecasts, and making recommendationsAdvanced knowledge and understanding in working with SAS or SQL or other data management, reporting, and query toolsConsultative experience with the ability to identify and understand the problem, design a solution, gain buy-in and consensus on the approach, gather necessary resources to complete the assignment, and communicate results in a timely way to our partners and peer groupsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to pull and synthesize information and data, from multiple sources, to create a robust analysis including actionable recommendationsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAbility to work effectively in structured but flexible, adaptable and changing environmentAbility to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple prioritiesExperience in banking or financeKnowledge and understanding of structuring complex data across varied sources.Working knowledge of Wells Fargo databases is a plus.


Job Expectations:

Formulate and answer strategic questions using rigorous analytics while developing a clear, simple, and compelling story to influence managers/senior management and gain buy-in.Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve strategic business problems.Utilize knowledge of the business, customers, and products to synthesize results and 'form a story'.Prepare and deliver thoughtful and impactful presentations to business partners that will drive future strategies.  Document the requirements and scope for analytics projects and build a project plan to deliver them independently.Identify and develop the right set of metrics, analytics methodology, and report/presentation to communicate actionable insights.Leads complex and transformational initiatives that cross multiple lines of business in scope with significant impact/risk.Act as a technical expert and advise and counsel senior leadership.Assist in the creation of scorecards and dashboards for supporting various business users.Provide advice to the LOB on the design and execution of control reports to address issues found by regulators and internal resources. Review documentation of control processes as implemented by the LOB.Collaborate with users to design, implement, automate and manage data acquisition and load processes. Translate business needs and objectives into technical requirements and data solutions. Perform data discovery and investigation to ensure that the data meets the business objectives.Build and maintain the necessary and mandated controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and business functionality.Provide technical consulting, requirements analysis, and code design recommendations to various teams within the business including Credit Risk, Corporate Controllers, and Corporate Credit and COE stakeholders, and LOB Operations.Collaborate with other analysts and programmers and serve as a subject matter expert to different teams within the line of business.
