**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer within Home Lending Servicing Risk (HLSR), a part of the Home Lending Chief Risk Office (CRO) team.
The Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer is responsible for providing risk oversight to Home Lending Servicing, with a primary focus on Account Resolution (Collections) and Customer Service and Home Equity Line management operations. This risk professional will partner with Home Lending Servicing leadership, serving as key risk advisor for all risk types, including credit risk where they will perform complex data analysis to monitor and develop Home Lending credit strategies, models, and programs.
A successful candidate will have strong data analysis skills, superb communication, and demonstrated success driving innovative solutions to challenges.
The Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer will report into the Home Lending Servicing Risk organization within Home Lending CRO.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Advise senior leadership on development and implementation of strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite
+ Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges to drive the company credit culture and business performance requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas
+ Collaborate with Independent Risk management (IRM) professionals and Home Lending business leaders in identification of issues and driving solutions that align with strategic priorities
+ Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that help mitigate risks
+ Use subject matter expertise and business knowledge to provide independent risk oversight and credible challenge to Home Lending Servicing including the evaluation of effectiveness of strategy, policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls
+ Lead independently and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
+ Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
+ Monitor and assess for emerging trends, and may report on portfolio trends and credit policy exception trends
+ Interact with internal and external customers
+ Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 7+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Technical experience in SAS, SQL, or Tableau.
+ Home Lending/mortgage experience with subject matter expertise in default servicing areas.
+ Experience within other Independent Risk Management areas or disciplines such as credit, compliance and operational risk.
+ Ability to analyze data or information, and summarize insights, and formulate recommendations based on review.
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) lead discussions with business partners, peers and management.
+ Ability to effectively identify, evaluate, aggregate, and challenge risks – balancing the impact to customers, business, and bank.
+ Ability to work independent, and seek direction when appropriate; ability to formulate independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles.
+ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
+ Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to research and analyze options and impacts of solutions, and recommend alternatives.
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
+ Knowledge of Home Lending servicing systems, tools, and automated decisioning tools.

**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
