About the role:.
Active participation in new development and maintenance of existing applications.Always strive for betterment of product and comes up with Innovative and Automation ideas. FIS Tax Information Reporting Suite provides tax information reporting outsourced solutions to the financial services industry to facilitate production of Forms 1099, 1042-S, 5498, K-1, etc. for domestic, retirement and nonresident alien accounts. This includes the special requirements associated with REMICs, Pass Through Mortgage-Backed Securities, Long term OID bonds, Master Limited Partnerships, Mutual Funds, REITs, Unit Investment Trusts, and Widely Held Fixed Investment Trusts (WHFITs).
What you will be doing:
Should actively participate in the release/sprint planning phase, working closely with stakeholders to understand the scope of deliverables and expected timelines.Work independently on designing and developing high quality solutions. Develop Unit test cases.Debug the issues and provide fix quickly with less turn around time.Understand existing DB stored procedures/SQLs and should be able to develop new ones.Effectively communicate status, other project updates and challenges to team.Ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.Follow best coding practices and quality control measures throughout the development process.Continuously optimize development methodologies/ new innovations to enhance overall product quality.What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Candidate should have hands knowledge on Python at least for 3 - 5 years.Should have excellent working knowledge of any relational database (Sybase, Oracle, MSSql) at least for 3 years.Should have good working knowledge of PLSQL. Should be able to debug Stored Procedures/complex SQLs.Should have working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.Good knowledge of Object-oriented concepts.Can understand and apply suitable design patterns while designing/developing code.Good knowledge on version control tool (Subversion, GIT).Good understanding of CI/CD tools.Should be good at problem solving and debugging with excellent analytical skills.Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good team player.Self-motivated and self-learner.Added bonus if you have:
Experience of Agile Scrum will be an added advantageUnderstanding about Cloud technologies.
