Senior Lead Manufacturing Lead
Position Overview International is seeking a Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in San Antonio, Texas! The International San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, International takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow International to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, International's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains. Responsibilities + Process Evaluations + Line Balancing + Lead projects for general assembly processes and tooling + Design and selected tools, lifting devices, fixtures + Analysis of Operational Issues + Provide feedback to R&D on DFA requirements and design concept improvements + Develop and contribute to internal SOWs for projects + PFMEA Development/Maintenance + Improve Existing Production Lines and Process Productivity + Daily Production Support + Support New Product Launch + Create Labor Standards + Foster and Lead Practical Problem-Solving activities + Maintain Layout for Assigned work Area Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree + At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience OR + Master’s degree + At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience OR + At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills + Auto or heavy truck manufacturing experience + Expertise with automotive tooling and equipment design and build + Able to lead and work in a matrix organization + Experience with 3d product viewer/Teamcenter + Experience with MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) + Knowledge of Atlas Copco Tooling + Production exposure and Project commissioning + Exposure to error proofing concepts, ERP system and order management, stamping, AGV's + Experience with project leadership/management assignments taking one or more products from concept to manufacturing + Ability to plan, design and complete multiple projects + Ability to lead design reviews + Thorough knowledge of product development process + Knowledge of quality tools and their proper use + Experience with manufacturing processes + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplined + Ability to work in a team environment and with customers/suppliers + Computer utilization (i.e. project management, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, databases) + Proficient in AutoCAD + Determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines + Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations + Support the production hours when production is running Benefits and Compensation We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.
