As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.
This role is within a Product Security team aligned to the Engineer’s Platform & Integrated Experience group that secures the process of delivering software to our customers and makes JPMC the most attractive destination for engineers. You will play an important role in identifying and managing risk related issues and actions with respective technology. You will have an eye for detail and an ability to see the big picture across security issues.
Job responsibilities
Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability Responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events Perform and lead team members in the delivery of software features from inception to deployment, ensuring rigorous testing and bug-free releases Navigate and manage ambiguity in project requirements and deliverables Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software Provide leadership to immediate team as well as the overall organization, and mentor junior engineers across both Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on security design concepts and 5+ years applied experience. 8+ years applied experience developing security engineering solutions or equivalent education and/or training from accredited institutions Expertise in one or more programming languages Expertise in software application development and technical processes Experience in threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing Expertise in debugging complex distributed systems Possess in-depth understanding of public cloud architecture, and expertise in developing and operating software solutions in the same Ability to zoom out and understand how software fits into the business of the firm Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Expertise in Python, Golang, or Java. Experience with Terraform Familiarity with Software Bill of Materials, Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts, and software supply chain security Excellent communication and teamwork skills
