Role
Under limited general direction, responsible for the design and delivery of the learning curriculum and development of programs for employees and leadership that support the Recology G.R.O.W. culture.
Essential Responsibilities
Partners with Corporate People & Culture (Human Resources) and Department Heads to create training curriculum. Designs, develops, and delivers training to multiple levels of employees throughout the company. Leads and facilitates engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and virtual sessions. Delivers leadership development training in support of programs that leverage the G.R.O.W. culture and Strategic Plan. Conducts comprehensive training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across the organization. Develops training for People & Culture and other departments to facilitate. Creates and implements evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Analyzes feedback and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for improving training programs and support organization goals. Adjusts delivery methods to meet the learning styles and needs of diverse audiences. Partners effectively with other departments across the company on the delivery of training, projects, or initiatives. Facilitates learning to develop participants' competencies and help learners meet specified performance expectations. Provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees, particularly in areas related to professional development and skill enhancement. Monitors the linkage between curriculum and improved learner job performance. Partners with People & Culture Partners to assist with coaching participants back on the job, ensuring learning translates to performance. Makes initial evaluation of learning and works with People & Culture Partners to determine the best methods to provide feedback to learners and their managers. Provides recommendations on effective learning tools, programs, and strategies. Reviews industry trends and benchmarks against best practices to ensure training programs remain competitive and effective. Works closely with company leadership and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals. Supports change management initiatives by providing training and development resources that facilitate smooth transitions during organizational changes. Provides guidance and support to training and development staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Ensures that all training programs comply with industry regulations and organizational policies. Administers learning schedules, calendar, and maintains participant records during training. Adheres to established policies and procedures related to learners and trainers. Some travel is required. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
Six years of training experience. Experienced in delivering training to multiple levels of leadership, such as supervisors, managers, directors, and executives. Delivery of Leadership Training is preferred. Change Management Certification preferred. Professional Organization Development and Trainer certifications preferred. Technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications, and programs in position-related areas, including in-depth knowledge of leadership and change management theory and practice. Current developments and trends in areas of expertise. Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Project management skills, including planning and problem-solving. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.Recology Offers
