Job Description

The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is a key player in designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive role-based curriculum and learning programs. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to use critical thinking to solve complex problems. The Senior Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing the Workday Learning LMS and support the revision of onboarding practices with a focus on in-person training and enhancing the employee experience. This role will closely collaborate with the Learning Manager, business leaders and SMEs, bringing a strategic and visionary approach to accelerate overall talent growth, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement through data-driven insights.

Position location: Chicago Metro Area(Deerfield, IL) Hybrid

YOUR ROLE:

Lead the implementation of the Workday Learning LMS, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption across the organization.Revise and enhance onboarding practices with a focus on in-person training and improving the overall employee experience.Execute the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of role-based curriculum and learning programs with strong project management skills.Serve as a trusted learning advisor, offering cutting-edge learning solutions for a hybrid learning environment.Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions using various methods, including videos, eLearning, instructor-led content (virtual and in-person), job aids, tool kits, guides, learning portals, and simulations.Apply a blend of ADDIE and design thinking methodologies to create measurable learning solutions that address business and user needs.Build strong relationships with business leaders and HRBPs to align on learner objectives, development priorities, and implementation plans.Conduct user evaluations to identify behavioral trends and insights, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to design and develop learning products.Facilitate learning programs and workshops through diverse training methods, mediums, and formats.Assess the effectiveness and business impact of learning solutions using evaluation techniques.Use critical thinking to identify, research, analyze data, and recommend solutions to complex problems.Provide data-driven insights to identify skills gaps and develop upskilling plans.

Qualifications4-year relevant degree5-7 years of experience in Instructional design, leadership development, talent management and translating business strategies into practical initiatives, at progressively increasing levels of scope and complexity requiredExperience implementing onboarding best practicesLearning Management System (LMS) experience preferably Workday LearningEngaging and effective facilitation skillsDemonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive results-driven activitiesAbility to focus and deliver proactively in a dynamic, multi-tasking, fast-paced environment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in relevant fieldDDI Certified Facilitator and/or other facilitation certificationsUnderstanding of Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban methodologiesExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
