Senior Learning Experience Designer

Role Summary In this position, the Service, Collision, 3rd Party Learning Experience Designer will play a critical part in designing and developing rich, engaging and scalable learning experiences for the Technical Service teams. A successful candidate will have experience conceptualizing, developing and deploying compelling learning experiences for our quickly growing internal and external Service and Collision networks. This will require cross functional collaboration between many facets of the Service organization from Service Engineering to the tooling and documentation teams. The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise with a deep understanding of user-centric design principles to craft scalable learning solutions across various modalities (ILT, OLT, VILT). Responsibilities Design, develop, implement and maintain instructional materials and content for training programs using effective instructional design methodologies and technologies Partner with Service, Collision and 3rd party stakeholders and L&D team to build technical and non-technical training based on needs assessment in individual departments Expertise with e-learning platforms and practices to design engaging eLearning material in adaptive learning methods Partner with internal and external stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding development needs Evaluate, create, organize and execute learning strategies/programs Support learning program initiatives and projects by using your expertise in designing, developing, planning, implementing, and assessing learning content Build relationships across the company, Collision, and 3rd party networks to be able to understand high-value opportunities Create design documents outlining course objectives, content, assessment, and evaluation criteria Develop assessments and metrics to gauge employee performance and program outcomes; transform data into meaningful and engaging executive style summaries/presentations Organize and assist in developing learning manuals, pre-work and course evaluation procedures (inclusive of multimedia visual aids and other educational materials) Create effective eLearning’s and facilitator guides to help grow and scale the Learning and Development at Rivian Design Google Slides for ILTs and briefings Qualifications Extensive knowledge of instructional design, eLearning software (Articulate 360 and Google Suite preferred) Experience supporting a Learning Management System, specifically Cornerstone On Demand Familiar with video content creation and editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Synthesia) Familiarity with other learning technology solutions (AR/VR, CGI, 3D imaging) Experience using industry standard learning methodologies (ADDIE) to design learning programs for various levels of Service employees Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into digestible and consumable content 6+ years of experience with proven success in similar role 3+ years experience in Graphic Design Self-motivated individual with knowledge in instructor led (ILT) training, virtual learning, eLearning, and on-the-job (OJT) methodologies Sense of pride in work, willingness to take responsibility and committed to working as a member of the team Communicates effectively by delivering clear and compelling messages to Stakeholders and learners alike Ability to analyze logically and navigate ambiguity Familiarity with adult learning principles, theories, concepts and development technologies or modalities, practical experience and application of training development models Able to manage a design project management end to end Ability to meet aggressive timelines for deliverables, with accuracy, quality and attention to detail Organized with strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Clear and concise verbal and presentation skills Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Extreme attention to detail Ability to apply instructional design methodology to creation of content, tools and program Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments Capable of traveling to get hands on time with the product / support technical training development Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
