Job SummaryThe Senior Learning Specialist will lead and coordinate all of the training programs for our Display, Processing, and Networking Center of Excellence located in Johnstown, PA.
Job Responsibilities Responsible for the effective delivery and coordination of training programs for all employees Responsible for enhancing existing training programs based on feedback Identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees Conduct new hire training in coordination with various department representatives Hands-on instruction (manufacturing related activities) Testing/evaluation Instruct, maintain, and lead JSTD and IPC certification training efforts In coordination with the Human Resources department, lead, develop, and manage Apprenticeship Program Engage with local schools, businesses, and community resource programs to develop training programs for job readiness Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in procedures, business initiatives and technologies Coordinate training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the organization Formulate teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, workshops, etc Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, reference works, etc Develop a means to measure the effectiveness of training programs Schedule training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility set up, audiovisual set up and employee notification May design training courses depending on company needs May perform vendor out-sourcing to support approved training requests Assist in the deployment of corporate sponsored training workshops to new and existing employees and work groups, including establishing training schedules, location arrangements, working with consultants, etc. Maintain training records/files Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred, 5 plus years of experience in HR, Training, and/or Production Leadership in an Operations/Manufacturing environment Ability to perform and instruct light manufacturing tasks (basic mechanical assembly, wire crimping, cable assembly, wiring, soldering, etc.) CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) level certifications or the ability to obtain CIT level certifications for: J-STD-001 - Solder Certification IPC-610 and 620 Certification Excellent verbal, written, presentation and platform skills Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees Superior process consultation and facilitation skills required Strong planning and organizational skills Ability to speak effectively in personal situations and before groups of employees Microsoft Office products including strong PowerPoint, Word and Excel required LMS experience a plus#NEL #LI-AS1
