Senior Legal Analyst - Trust Administration

Responsibilities:

Supports trust administration, including analysis of administrative requirements and preparation of related notices and nonjudicial settlement agreements.Trust termination management, including risk analysis and preparation of legal documents and engagement with states’ attorney general's offices, where needed.Coordinates trust accountings.Advise on corporate governance requirements for fiduciary activities of a trust company.Leads the drafting and translation of legal disclosures, documents, and correspondence.Develops materials and partners with counsel to deliver presentations and provide advice on regulatory and legal developments related to Vanguard's business activities and investment products.Leads the review and resolution of day-to-day operational, risk and legal issues related to Vanguard's business activities and investment products.Interprets legal documentation, handles policy and procedure issues, and contract drafting and negotiation.Conducts research, investigation, and analysis on investment regulatory and policy issues to support legal activities and contribute to the resolution of matters.Researches, aggregates, and delivers legal resources for attorneys such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, articles, and legal codes to support the preparation of legal documents and contracts.Identifies and evaluates the regulatory impact of new products, services, and investment strategies. Attends client meetings to stay abreast of new product offerings.Leads the generation of legal reporting and the maintenance of legal databases.Develops and maintains expertise in applicable areas of the law, Vanguard's business and products, and the investment industry. Stays abreast of industry and regulatory developments affecting Vanguard.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum of five years related work experience, paralegal/legal and regulatory experience in the trust and estate planning industry preferred.Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
