Your role:

We are currently looking to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel to join our collaborative and supportive legal team based in Sydney.

Position Summary:

· Drafts, negotiates and interprets distribution agreements, sales and purchase contracts, licensing and other agreements,

· Counselling business leaders on risk, deal structuring and negotiation strategy.

· Advise on compliance with contractual responsibilities, company policies and applicable laws/regulations.

· Advises on a range of legal issues including corporate, compliance, employment, technology, procurement and intellectual property matters.

· Advises the business on disputes and assist in management of litigation including briefing external counsel where required.

· Assisting with governance and compliance issues, including drafting policies, training employees, and creating and maintaining accurate records.

· Support and advise on ESG and other business initiatives.

· Advises on applicable potential and current legislation and informs stakeholders about relevant laws or changes.

· Assists with company secretarial duties. This is not a complete listing of the job duties and is a representation of the things you will be doing.

What you bring to the role:

· At least 8+ years of legal experience including commercial in-house experience

· Strong skills in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts

· Commercial mindset and drive to deliver to a high standard

· Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced commercial environment.

· Excellent communication and problem solving skills
