Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic legal counsel to various divisions within Motion Business Area in India and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB. Each day, you will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will also showcase your expertise by effectively managing legal risks and fostering a culture of integrity across the organization. The work model for the role is: #Li - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion Business into Legal & Integrity. This role reports into Regional General Counsel (MO) India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProviding strategic legal support in India in connection to various divisions in Motion Business area and be a part of respective division leadership team of the country. •\tIndependently draft, review, negotiate and provide guidance on various kinds of contracts, projects or deals in line with ABB corporate & business area policies and applicable local laws.•\tFormulating improvements or development of legal processes, due diligence and legal productivity, simplicity, and standardization, reflecting the country specific requirements. •\tMonitoring and responding to any legal notices and manage division specific litigations timely and effectively in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.•\tSupport fiduciary obligations and support ABB Integrity initiatives in close collaboration with other L&I counsels.

Qualifications for the role

\tA bachelor's or master’s degree in law from a reputed law school. Additional qualifications like CS (or) certifications in digital topics will be a plus\tAt least 10 years of post-qualification legal experience or equivalent in a reputable law firm or a major MNC\tShould have a sound knowledge of digital, competition law and risk management \tDemonstrated ability to obtain high quality outcomes with tight time frames and cost-effective use of resources coupled with excellent negotiation, persuasion and judgment skills\tDemonstrates integrity and strives for excellence in work\tExperience in handling investigation and formulating compliance/integrity policy is a preferred, but not mandatory\tAn individual who has strong communication skills and capabilities to manage legal and compliance issues in a diversified background and with solution-focused approach
