Senior Legal Operations Analyst

The Senior Legal Operations Analyst is an experienced analyst and will partner with the Legal Team and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive change, analyze data to better help identify trends and optimize costs. This role requires a forward-thinking professional with expertise in analytics, process improvement, and technology, including advanced reporting tools and AI-driven solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

\n\nDefine and lead strategic and operational initiatives with measurable, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.\nProactively analyze and redesign complex processes to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and maximize operational effectiveness.\nOversee the modernization of the Legal Team’s data environment, leveraging Microsoft Fabric to build scalable, cloud-based data solutions.\nDevelop advanced reporting and analytics dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to deliver actionable insights, including matter and work product analyses.\nAdvanced ability to write T-SQL to query data, create views and stored procedures, and create and update tables and indices.\nFacilitate departmental growth and ensure compliance by managing Legal Department inboxes, efficiently directing requests to the appropriate experts for prompt resolution.\nDesign and lead training programs for Legal Department team members and stakeholders, focusing on new technologies, analytics platforms, and best practices.\nServe as a thought leader on emerging trends and technologies in legal operations, particularly in the application of AI and data-driven decision-making.\nWork independently, demonstrating self-sufficiency in managing multiple priorities and complex projects with minimal oversight.\nCommunicate complex ideas effectively to senior leaders, team members, and external partners, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.\nEnhance the culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Legal Team and broader organization.  \nAbility to sit and perform the required work on-site, in an open workstation office environment, for a minimum of eight hours each workday.

What you need:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in finance, data analytics, information systems or related field.\n3-5 years of experience with T-SQL\n2+ years of experience with PowerBI/Tableau\n2-5 years of experience with legal project operations and management in-house or at a law firm (preferred, but not required).\nExperience developing processes, policies, or workflows.\nDemonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role.\nProven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results.\nExperience in legal, insurance, financial, or other similar professional service industries (preferred, but not required).
