Senior Licensure & Certification Analyst

Job Summary

The Licensing & Certification Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s healthcare facilities, providers, and services remain compliant with all licensing, credentialing, and certification requirements across various jurisdictions. This role involves managing regulatory filings, coordinating renewals, track statuses, and providing regulatory insights to support the company’s growth and operational needs. The Senior Analyst will work closely with Manager and Director of the Licensure and Certification department along with compliance, legal, and clinical departments to uphold regulatory standards and ensure the company maintains an excellent compliance record.

Essential Functions

Licensing and Certification Compliance

Ensure that all healthcare facilities, providers, and services are licensed and certified according to federal, state, and local regulations.Develop and maintain a centralized system for tracking licensing and certification requirements, renewal schedules, and statuses.

Regulatory Research and Support

Conduct regular research on state and federal healthcare licensing and certification requirements and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders.Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and evaluate their impact on current policies, procedures, and operational practices.

Documentation and Recordkeeping

Prepare and submit documentation required for initial licensing, renewals, and any amendments to regulatory authorities. Maintain organized, accurate records of all licenses, certifications, and regulatory correspondences in both physical and digital formats.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with compliance, legal, clinical, and operations teams to ensure alignment of regulatory requirements and address potential compliance issues.Provide guidance and training to internal teams on licensing and certification processes and requirements.

Auditing and Quality Assurance

Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Conduct regular internal reviews of licensing and certification status to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Reporting and Analytics

Generate periodic compliance reports for leadership, identifying any gaps, renewal timelines, or potential risks. Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement of licensing processes.

Knowledge of related areas of regulatory compliance, including healthcare licensing, Medicare and Medicaid enrollment.Knowledge of regulatory processes and procedures relating to establishment of distinct part units. Ability to research, analyze and interpret complex written legal materials. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.Ability to communicate complex information and present, resolve, and address delicate situations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exercises discretion with confidential and sensitive information. Skilled at working independently and as part of a team. Approximate percentage of time required to travel\: 0

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field or paralegal degree from an accredited school.

Experience

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting or related field.

Depending on a candidate’s qualifications, this role may be filled at a different level.
