RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux workstations, VMs, and supporting software.Configure and maintain enterprise Linux administration tools such as Identity Management (IdM), Satellite, and Ansible Tower servers.Harden systems against vulnerabilities and threats using automated tools in accordance with DISA STIGs.Proactively recommend and implement performance and reliability improvements to systems and independently develop solutions to problems.Train junior systems administrators and help desk technicians in best practices and day-to-day operations.Assist in the documentation of knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and work instructions as needed.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibilityActive IAT level II CertificationProficient with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible.Familiarity with enterprise management of Linux systems.10-12 years of work experienceAbility to work independently with minimal oversight.Attention to detail.Strong oral and written communication skills.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator or equivalent certification.OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to support the DTRA ITSS II contract at Fort Belvoir, VA.
The DTRA IT Infrastructure supports approximately 5500 users using distributed operations between the National Capital Region (NCR) and DTRA Albuquerque, NM and supporting facilities on Fort Belvoir, VA, as well as sites in Albuquerque, NM, Eglin AFB, FL, and a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of the DTRA Mission IT Operations Group, the candidate will support multiple computer networks at various levels of security classification.
