Senior Linux Systems Administrator
About This Role Summary CAE USA Inc. is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support the Mission Management Center located at Peterson AFB, CO. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting a 24/7 critical operations center for the US Government. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The ideal candidate will have advanced Linux administration skills and be well versed working in a virtual environment. The MMC currently has multiple TAK servers which run on Linux operating Systems (RHEL and Ubuntu) Minimum Requirements + Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total). + Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of the majority of RHEL and Ubuntu systems + Current Security+ certification or other DoD 8570.01m IAT level 2 or higher certification to allow administrator access to government IT systems + Experience working with and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to address vulnerabilities. + Proficiency in OS and hardware/software/network troubleshooting. + Experience working with Cross-Domain Solutions. + Previous experience working with TAK/ATAK servers is a plus. + RedHat Certified Engineer preferred. + Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required clearance level (Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility) Preferred Skills Below is a list of skills that would greatly help the candidate succeed and thrive in this environment. + Ability to work well in a team environment + Excellent communications skills + Ability to self-task and explore areas for improvement on their own Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. + Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
