The University of Virginia, Facilities Management, is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator. Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties.

The role of Senior Logistics Coordinator is integral to the logistics operation within Facilities Management. This role provides critical logistical and materials management support throughout the department.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with staff and vendors to create purchase orders for materials and services
Provide support to the Classroom Team to include furnishings-related purchases, install classroom furniture as needed, oversee on-hand classroom inventory
As a T&E cardholder provide payment for services, purchase material, pay invoices
Facilitate cell phone deployments for FM staff
Facilitate inventory-related tasks with FM staff to include inventory warehouse implementation, inventory training and in-person support
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or Equivalent
Current Powered Industrial Truck/Forklift License
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant Procurement and/or Materials Management experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general office procedures.
Knowledge of general warehouse operations.
Ability to interact positively and communicate effectively with a variety of entities, in a large complex organization.
Well-developed ability to work independently and efficiently and as a team member.
Ability to prioritize, manage, complete multiple tasks.
Ability to follow instructions and read written materials, such as work instructions, safety procedures and material data safety sheets are essential.
Demonstrate a knowledge of customer service standards and activities are essential.
Proficient data entry skills are required. Microsoft 365 experience, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams are required. UVA Workday, UVA MarketPlace and AiM experience are preferred.
Ability to work during inclement weather, emergencies, weekends, and some holidays, and after normal work hours as needed to support essential functions.
The ability to lift and manipulate materials up to 50 lbs. is essential.
Significant experience in a Logistics, Materials Management, or Lean work environment is strongly preferred.
Compensation:
The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour ($45,760 - $52,000 Annually). This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Employee benefits package highlights include:
