Summary: The Senior Maintenance Manager is responsible for all plant maintenance including facilities, utilities, and operations to reduce downtime and achieve peak plant efficiency. Will direct all capital engineering design and projects to completion and work with appropriate vendors. This position will have direct responsibility for the Maintenance team and their performance, assisted by the maintenance supervisor. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment through guidance, support, and development. Administer and support plant policies and procedures to maximize maintenance and operational goals. Coordinate the planning, development, scheduling, and delivery of maintenance and operational education/training programs, including management training. Prepare weekly, quarterly, and annual operational performance reports where necessary. Develop objectives, standard operating procedures, and performance standards for staff, prioritizing projects within the maintenance department to meet departmental and company objectives. Establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with employees at all levels in the organization. Ensure the preventive maintenance program is performed in accordance with company standards. Provide maintenance support throughout the operational departments, including work order and PM scheduling, employee training/coaching, program development, equipment knowledge, and the ability to execute daily plans to achieve maintenance and operational targets. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC equipment. Use of common maintenance hand tools and specialty tools to repair and maintain equipment. Work with technical experts to gain complete knowledge of processing/manufacturing equipment operation, cleaning, and maintenance. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and other sources of information to ensure proper operation and repair of equipment. Prioritize assignments and independently manage time to satisfy business needs. Establish criteria for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors. Supervise the completion of work through review of reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skills. Excellent administrative and follow-up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs. Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources. Oversee and maintain air compressors and HVAC units to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems preferred, with the ability to oversee or support related maintenance and troubleshooting efforts. Understanding of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) spend, cost-saving initiatives, and inventory management to drive efficiency and budget control.The requirements of this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years management experience working in a fast pace, 24/7/365 manufacturing environment. Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CADD, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Management, etc. Must have a complete understanding of PLC and logic controls for high-speed operating equipment. Prior experience using production environment SAP a plus Asset Reliability knowledge required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the stated requirements. Compensation Range: $122,000.00 - $183,000.00, plus bonus.
