Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche’s commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO formulate, fill, inspect & package millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.
This position is located On-site in Hillsboro.
Night Shift- 6:00 pm to 6:30 am (Sun – Tue, every other Sat)
The Opportunity:
In this position, you will maintain, assemble, install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electronic devices on pharmaceutical production equipment. Lead or assist on major equipment overhauls and testing, repairs, and installations. Troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, actuators, gears, piping and pneumatic systems, conveyors and robotics. Maintain and optimize mechanical drive trains and vacuum generation & distribution systems.
Lead and assist with preventive maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and installations of advanced equipment.
Support engineering and operations in designing, installing, testing, and maintaining packaging, inspection, and manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot control components and various equipment such as pumps, motors, and sensors.
Demonstrate expertise in mechanical and pneumatic systems, conveyors, robotics, and vacuum systems.
Provide exceptional customer support, anticipate needs, and resolve problems effectively.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Read and interpret engineering documents, including P&IDs, and troubleshoot Delta-V, MES systems, and equipment HMIs.

Who you are:
Senior Maintenance Mechanic (MT3):
Graduate of a two-year Associates Degree program in Electrical/Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Substantial relevant on-the-job training with 6 years experience in the maintenance and mechanical and/or electrical support of complex mechanical equipment or closely related job with 4 years in a cGMP environment.
Experience regarding packaging/inspection of products/containers and/or processes involving washing, filling, conveying, sealing, is desired. Target industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, and chemical, food, cosmetics, and/or other medical industries.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $51,200 - $95,200.
Senior Maintenance Mechanic (MT4):
Graduate of a two-year Associates Degree program in Electrical/Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Substantial relevant on-the-job training with 8 years experience in the maintenance and mechanical and/or electrical support of complex mechanical equipment or closely related job with 5 years in a cGMP environment.
Experience regarding packaging/inspection of products/containers and/or processes involving washing, filling, conveying, sealing, is highly desirable. Target industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, and chemical, food, cosmetics, and/or other medical industries.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $58,500 - $108,700.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.

You are skilled in performing lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures using LOTO protocols and interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams.
You are comfortable working in close proximity to hazardous chemicals, high and low-temperature liquids, high-pressure liquids and gases, steam, and moving machinery.
