This is a working supervisor role that will be working side by side with Mechanics, Welders, and Technicians. You will be there to supervise performance and train as needed.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by adhering to regulations, standards, and internal policies, while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Serve as a working supervisor, overseeing the performance and activities of the Maintenance personnel on shift. Supervise the preventive maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment Coordinate all major projects, ex. shut downs Manage the organization of maintenance shop and parts trailer Oversee mobile equipment maintenance i.e., forklift, track and back hoes and assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure parts and supplies are in inventory Maintain working knowledge of plant equipment Welding, if qualified Pipe fitting Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience Previous supervisory experience is a plus Ability to work independently and multi-task with little to minimal supervision Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP’s, and training modules Ability to drive a forklift Must possess a basic set of tools Must possess a valid driver's license Successful completion of OSHA lock out/tag out and confined space entry training may be required Successful completion HAZWOPPER training (provided during first week of employment) Ability to work occasional overtime Ability to obtain a physician’s certification to wear a respirator is required The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required
