Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for all aspects of Facilities maintenance, office, grounds, common areas, preventative maintenance (assist), repairs, installations and planning of activities. This person will work closely with the Maintenance / Engineering Dept. Will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the repairs, maintenance and documentation of all material handling equipment and dock equipment (i.e. Dock doors, levelers, seals, Lift Trucks, Scissor Lifts, scrubber/sweeper and related accessories) utilizing internal maintenance as well as Contract maintenance.  Repairs/maintains HVAC systems throughout the facility, lighting systems, electrical systems and plumbing. Using maintenance technicians or Contractors as needed. Assists with repairs, installation and Preventative Maintenance on conveyor systems, production equipment, and compressed air systems. Repairs, installs, and maintains racking. Also maintains records as required by OSHA, JCSA, or another Gov. entity. Maintains fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems and extinguisher inspections. Maintains Waste Disposal system (trash compactors) using preferred vendor. Maintains roofing system, using contract maintenance as needed. Responsible for snow removal from sidewalk, steps, etc. Coordinate with Maintenance or contractor regarding removal of snow from parking lots, lawn care, roof repair, etc. Assist Maintenance with parts inventory, ordering, tracking, etc. Receives/responds to daily calls regarding problems and repairs. Coordinates with Maintenance to get repairs completed in a timely manner. Responsible for updating standard work instructions for existing and new processes. Create and produce both written and visual standards for facilities and maintenance processes as needed. Gaining knowledge and understanding of etq and any other software the position may require. Work must be performed with a safety-first mentality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5 plus years of experience in an assembly and/or manufacturing environment. Experienced leading teams. Work with external contractors and remote Teammates to complete project task in a timely manner to meet initiative due dates. Proficient in the use of MS-Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word. PowerPoint Experienced a plus.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Sound analytical and problem-solving ability.  Ability to multi-task in a high stress environment managing aggressive deadlines within requested timeframes. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service; ability to work with people at all levels within an organization.

5.     Must work well in a team environment.

6.     Must possess a strong work ethic and a proven ability to work independently, make decisions demonstrating good judgment.

Follow and support the overarching business direction while displaying cooperation and positive behavior with co-workers and teams across the facility. Align and support CI directives from a corporate perspective. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as: prints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before fellow teammates.

Work Environment

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS & WORK AIDS

Material handling equipment (to include items such as: hand truck, forklift/reach trucks, cherry pickers)Hand tools and small powered hand tools.Computers and associated peripherals.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

Inside working conditions. This includes office and manufacturing environments.Must be able to walk or stand 100% of the shift as needed.Must comply with company hygiene and gowning requirements as defined in the Department Operating Procedures, “Gowning Requirements and Basic Hygiene for Warehouse, Assembly, Clean Room and Boxing Areas”.
