Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and manage day-to-day activities of accounts payable department staff, providing coaching and feedback on performance. Oversee the three-way matching process for accounts payable invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.Develop and maintain accounts payable payment schedules (wires, checks, and credit cards) for review and execution.Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving payment discrepancies and maintaining strong relationships.Reconcile credit card transactions, account statements, overhead invoices, and expense reports. Manage and maintain accounts payable aging reports, vendor files, and electronic and physical financial records as needed.Prepare, process and mail and/or wire payments. Investigate all vendor debit memos and invoice discrepancies.Review and approve vendor statements, researching all variances.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team effectiveness and address areas for improvement.Lead accounts payable-related projects.Collaborate with other departments to streamline invoice approval processes and ensure proper documentation.Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management. RequirementsEducation and Experience:
Associate degree in accounting or related field. 7+ years of experience working in all areas of accounts payable; including 3+ years managing an accounts payable team. Proven experience managing vendor payments in manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale industries (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred).Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and interact with all levels of in-house personnel.Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines and give directions concisely. Excellent attention to detail, organization, driving results and process improvements.Proficient in using MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Word.Familiarity with ERP systems and other financial software.Physical Demands:
Required to use hands to operate computer controls.May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, ability to focus.Work Environment:
Required to be present in the office to provide immediate supervision to direct reports, and collaborate with directors, peers, and other departments daily.Potential to move between production operations sites/areas and local geographic region to complete job functions. Hours/Travel maybe subject to changed based on management/company discretion.Supervisory Responsibilities:

$100,000 - $110,000 per year
