Senior Manager, Ads Revenue & Yield Analytics, Programmatic Monetization

Within the broader Finance & Strategy organization, we’re building out our Ads Revenue & Yield Analytics team, who will help steward and support our Ads go-to-market strategy. This global leadership role will specialize in Programmatic Monetization, shaping our yield management strategy, while operating as the central stakeholder for our regional teams to support local commercial needs.

Responsibilities will include:

Develop data-informed solutions to increase global advertising revenue & maximize yield across all programmatic sales channels, including curated inventory offerings, optimized auction floors, bid-stream data management, and supply/request throttling. 

Partner with regional RYA, Product & Business Operations teams to ruthlessly steward and analyze market-level data to inform yield management strategies. 

Partner with Programmatic Operations in leveraging relationships with DSPs and 3rd-party vendors to drive best-in-class yield management tactics and workflows to optimize performance and maximize revenue.

Collaborate with Revenue Analytics, DSE, Business Operations & Revenue Accounting to enhance business intelligence dashboards to produce reliable & comprehensive data insights across all programmatic buy types, ad products and audience segments

Support quarterly and annual forecast cycles with programmatic performance insights, including the creation of financial models and executive-level presentations.  

Anticipate and analyze changing market dynamics to quickly adapt programmatic strategies and unlock opportunities for revenue growth  

Partner with Ads Marketing on customer-facing narratives for new pricing promotions, ad products, targeting capabilities, and/or sponsorships that are integrated into our programmatic offering

Identify RYA programmatic business requirements to support enhancements to the Netflix Ad Suite, including platform integration, privacy & policy controls, measurement capabilities, automated functionality, and optimized allocation features

Work cross-functionally to standardize the programmatic deal desk process to ensure adherence to negotiated partnership terms & conditions (i.e. Upfronts) 

Function as the RYA liaison to Ads Legal, FS&A & Business Operations in developing  favorable business terms for programmatic advertising and data partnership contracts

Assist in global training development for new programmatic offerings

What we’re looking for:

9+ years of experience in programmatic strategy, across yield/revenue management or operations, at a publisher, SSP, media company, or other related organizations

3+ years of experience engaging with advertisers and agencies on programmatic deal types, solutions, and capabilities 

Knowledge of leading SSP and DSP partners like The Trade Desk, DV360, Magnite, Xandr, etc.

Highly analytical with a deep understanding of auction market dynamics across the digital/streaming ecosystem

Experience collaborating and building consensus across Sales, Account Management, Product and Engineering, Marketing, Legal & Finance teams

Strong modeling skills and comfort with manipulating large datasets in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and other data visualization tools

Strong attention to detail and an eye towards using the 80/20 rule to address problems

Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, able to work autonomously and perform tasks with a wide range of difficulties

Very strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to deliver under tight timelines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful relationships and partners at all levels

The ability to communicate financial calculations with varying degrees of detail depending on the forum.  You know your audience and what they’re looking for.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $220,000 - $610,000.

This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy. Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here.
