The Senior Manager, Agile Practice and Program Delivery is primarily responsible for overseeing the agile practice at the enterprise level. This position oversees the staff around program delivery.
The Senior Manager ensures alignment between agile practices and organizational goals, facilitates cross-functional communication, and champions a culture of continuous improvement. This position is accountable for overseeing the administration of the JIRA product and is responsible for working with various key internal stakeholders on the strategic vision for JIRA and interrelated products. The Senior Manager will work closely with senior and executive management to drive the delivery of complex, large-scale initiatives while ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and best practices.
This position manages all aspects of running an efficient team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, training, disciplining, and motivating direct reports.
DutiesOversee the successful delivery of projects by maintaining Agile discipline, identifying, and resolving project dependencies, and removing obstacles. Work with senior management to align the agile transformation with broader business goals.
Lead, manage and facilitate the delivery of complex projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring teams effectively collaborate to meet project goals while prioritizing flexibility, continuous improvement, and close stakeholder engagement throughout the development cycle.
Plans and implements systems and procedures to maximize operating efficiency and achieve strategic priorities.
Responsible for ensuring the activities align with organizational goals including JIRA administration.
Manages complex projects, engaging and updating key stakeholders, developing timelines, leads others to complete deliverables on time and ensures implementation upon approval.
Lead and collaborate with key stakeholders in high-level change management to facilitate agile adoption beyond Information Technology (IT) enterprise goals.
Responsible for developing and reporting to senior management on agile maturity and progress in agile transformation initiatives. Responsible for overseeing the completion of data analyses to ensure that projects are both accurate and on schedule. Ensure that projects/ programs meet key stakeholders’ specifications and address any issues that impedes timely delivery.

Manage staff, including, but not limited to monitoring of day-to-day activities of staff, monitoring of staff performance, mentoring, training, and cross-training of staff, handling of questions or issues, etc. raised by staff, encourage staff to provide recommendations for relevant process and systems enhancements, among others. Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure cohesive collaboration across functional teams.
Establish, maintain, and monitor agile Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and improve agile maturity.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving process enhancements and optimization.
Develop and monitor high-level agile metrics to assess the agile health of the organization.

At least 7 years of experience in a Scrum of Scrum Master or Lead Scrum Master role, Project Management, and JIRA Administrator.
At least 5 of years’ experience in leading, supervising and/or managing staff.
Proven experience leading Program Increment (PI) planning and coaching others on the same.
Proven experience using and integrating Atlassian tools.
Proven experience managing Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Preferred:
Experience in a similar role with oversight of Scrum teams in a healthcare or IT context.

Proven leadership in agile environments and management of cross-functional teams, with experience aligning agile practices to organizational strategy.
Proven design, development and implementation of dashboards and reports; selection and implementation of automation tools.
