Job Description:

Department Overview:

As part of US Finance-Decision Science, this team is responsible for supporting Investment Decisioning for US Deposit business new accounts; and US Credit card business for portfolio engagement efforts including Balance transfer.  Responsible for providing subject matter expertise, analytical interpretation, visualization, and insights to recommend actions that will enable profitable growth and efficient investments.    

The Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights manages a team of Business Insights & Analytics specialists and works closely with various internal stakeholders/partners to understand business objectives, identify data/information needs, opportunities for improvement and helps inform and support business decisions and strategies.

Depth & Scope:

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as requiredOversees and leads a large and/or highly complex, and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scopeStrategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external/internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizes and anticipates emerging trends and identifies operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management/enterprise areasFacilitates key strategic discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/frameworks/short to long term goals etc.)Sets operational team direction and collaborates with others to execute on common goalsFocuses on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or;7+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted

Preferred Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate10+ years relevant experience.  People management experience preferred. In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building and interpretive statistics with strong technical skills (Excel, SAS/SQL, Alteryx, Tableau)Capable of independently planning, developing, leading, and executing analytics projects with limited guidance.Demonstrated success with automation and process improvement projectsAble to effectively interpret information, select appropriate techniques, take independent action, and communicate findings & recommendations to achieve objectives.Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with well-developed communication and presentation abilities (written and verbal). Strong Powerpoint skills. Manage competing priorities and make good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.
