Senior Manager, Area Sales Operations

As the Sr. Manager, Area Sales Operations, supporting the Specialty Segments within the North America commercial organization. You will partner with the VP North America Sales- Specialty Segments, your direct reports, and their leadership team to deliver the North America sales strategy & revenue growth for the North America region. In this role you will partner with the Sales organization to develop and execute an overall customer strategy, specifically focused on Distribution, Commercial Labs, and Government accounts to improve customer retention and base business growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for identifying key efficiencies and utilizing the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and rigor to drive change throughout the organization to evolve as the business continues to grow. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + In partnership with Sr. Director and VP of Specialty Segments, own the creation of the monthly operating calendar and drive operational rigor in the monthly Operations Reviews, providing appropriate templates for capturing appropriate data, capturing decisions made during the meetings, improvements required, follow ups needed. + Partner with Business Managers and Sales Leadership to develop GWR strategy and give input/recommendations on the appropriate KPI’s, aligned with organizational goals and DBS principles. + Partner with Commercial Ops/Leadership to optimize tools/dashboards in a way that adds value to the selling org. + Partner with your sales, marketing, client services, & supply chain colleges to execute the low-supply customer allocation process. + Support NACO sales management in the design of sales territories through the utilization of both 3rd party and internal data to establish sales territories with equitable sales opportunity while accounting for our customer segmentation strategy; Partner with your sales & IC colleagues in the development of the annual sales quotas to ensure our IC design and quotas drive optimal sales team performance + Spearhead and promote active sales funnel management. Partner with the Sales leadership team to ensure sales standard work is being rigorously followed to ensure sales funnel accuracy and cleanliness. + Summarize the competitor intelligence to be gleamed from recent health system wins & losses and own the NACO Quarterly Competitive Report published to Beckman Coulter senior management; Own and execute special projects The essential requirements for this role include: + Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred with 14+ years of progressive commercial experience required + 9+ years of sales, sales/marketing operations, or finance experience required; 4+ years of direct people leadership experience (coaching, influencing, guiding people). + Accomplished in business partnering with the sales organizations; The ability to think strategically, formulate plans, assimilate complex concepts, and articulate recommendations and business value + Experience successfully executing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives; Strong financial background required with previous experience in corporate FP&A and/or BI development + Sales forecasting experience using SF.com or other sales platforms; Experience crafting financial reports, scorecards, or dashboards; Experience with cross-functional coordination at all levels + Project management of large projects and organization skills including successfully controlling multiple projects + Excellent presentation and communications skills It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Working knowledge of Danaher Business System (DBS) tools or other Lean concepts The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
