Royal Caribbean Group’s Human Resources Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, Benefits Operations reporting to the Senior Director, Global Benefits.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Benefits Operations to join our team. This role primarily focuses on managing and optimizing our benefits operations, with a specific emphasis on overseeing a high volume of employee inquiries and establishing metrics to ensure timely responses and first-time resolutions. Additionally, this role includes managing our employee cruise benefits program, driving wellness program engagement, and utilizing a data-driven approach to manage results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational administration and a proven track record of improving employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other related benefits. Responsible for the execution and management of $48M Benefit Spend. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits. Implement new benefits programs and enhance existing programs.

 

Team Leadership:

Manage and lead a local & overseas team responsible for handling a high volume of employee benefits inquiries. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

 

Inquiry Management:

Establish and enforce metrics to ensure timely responses and first-time resolutions for employee inquiries. Monitor and analyze inquiry handling metrics to ensure high-quality service. Develop and implement strategies to improve inquiry handling processes and enhance the employee experience.

 

Employee Cruise Benefits Program:

Oversee the administration of the employee cruise benefits program. Ensure the program is effectively communicated and that employees understand and utilize their cruise benefits. Continuously assess and improve the employee cruise benefits program to align with employee needs and company goals.

 

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in benefits administration and inquiry management. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to streamline operations.

 

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with benefits vendors and third-party administrators. Ensure vendors meet performance expectations and deliver a strong return on investment (ROI). Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor services meet organizational standards and employee needs. Work with vendors to resolve any issues and ensure seamless delivery of benefits.

 

Data-Driven Management:

Utilize a data-driven approach to manage and measure results. Analyze data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Manage budget and financial aspects of the benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a benefits administration or operational role, with at least 3 years in a management role. Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively, including remote and overseas teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in HRIS and inquiry management systems. Comfortable with data analysis and financial management. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing teams overseas.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean. Familiarity with vendor management, ROI analysis, and contract negotiation. Experience in establishing and managing metrics to ensure timely responses and first-time resolutions. Experience in utilizing a data-driven approach to manage results.
