The **Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM)** team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. The **Global Brand Strategy & Insights** team sits within GABM. We are responsible for accelerating brand consideration globally by delivering robust insights, transformative brand strategies, and key capabilities for marketers across the organization. We are seeking a **Sr Manager of Brand Planning to** partner across the enterprise to build out the annual brand planning cycle, cultivating cohesion across all B2B and B2C marketing initiatives, ensuring the annual strategy is connected across marketing through the line. **Key Responsibilities:** + Serve as a primary GABM relationship contact for Business Unit partners and lead Brand Planning efforts for B2B, B2C and enterprise initiatives to ensure end-to-end continuity in marketing efforts through the line. + Partner on the creation of the annual strategic brief that connects strategic brand priorities across cross-team marketing activations, assets and experiential moments + Lead key governance forums to ensure alignment, collaboration and fuel connectivity across GABM, Business Unit partners, and agencies, optimizing operating model approaches as needed to drive efficiency + Partner closely with GABM cross-functional team (Content, Social, Media, Digital Brand Products and Insights) to deliver best-in-class, customer-centric work + Optimize and spearhead integrated campaign planning across media, content and experiential (e.g., US OPEN, Platinum) + Drive innovative thinking across teams, keeping a pulse on external marketplace trends to develop cutting-edge, winning strategies. + Lead projects and teams with an agile mindset and solution-oriented attitude + Lead one direct report **Qualifications:** + Brand marketing and performance marketing experience + Strategic thought leader who can drive clarity in ambiguous situations and make connections on key strategic priorities across lines of business. + Proven ability to develop and manage complex projects, timelines and deliverables across several high priority enterprise-wide initiatives. + Strong business acumen to identify working dynamics across cross-functional teams. + Ability to define and leverage insights to influence and develop strategy to drive business outcomes. + Strong communicator who can effectively influence and prioritize as business needs evolve with a high degree of comfort communicating senior leaders. + Ability to build strong relationships and influence across senior level and work effectively in a collaborative, multi-cultural, team environment. + People leadership experience preferred **Qualifications** Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
