Senior Manager, Business Analysis - BI Solutions

Position Summary

Aetna’s Reporting Solutions team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager, Business Analysis to join our team.  Reporting Solutions partners with business leaders and key stakeholders to optimize the achievement of strategic business objectives. In this role the candidate will be supporting a dedicated role for the North Carolina State Health Plan account. Responsibilities include designing, development, and project management of new analytics capabilities and content.


This manager role is a part of the Aetna Commercial’s Sales Enablement department. The work environment supports and thrives on out-of-the box thinking, creative talent and a consultative approach.


Specifically, this role will work across our enterprise partners and will be responsible for evaluating requests and driving enhancements, documenting business requirements, facilitating prototyping of proposed reports and functionality, and supporting end-user testing for reporting related to the State of North Carolina Health Plan.

Key Responsibilities

Directs, evaluates, and provides key requirements and program specifications for use of appropriate business processes and systems to support product reporting and analytic solution development initiatives.

Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to business partners on information services, capabilities and performance results.

Communicate analytical findings to key stakeholders in a way that is easy to understand and actionable.

Leverages knowledge and understanding of Aetna and CVS solutions to direct the development and implementation of new reporting and analytic solutions and enhancements.

Responsible for project commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.

Supports the creation of business applications to deliver clinical or analytic solutions to constituents.

Under general direction, independently executes analyses or reports to meet project needs.

Seeks and maintains understanding of internal and external environmental influences and competitive pressures to develop and enhance the product and solutions portfolio.

Work cross-functionally

Leads solution development through product development lifecycle and required business case development. 

Willingness to understand and probe into technical details.

Required Qualifications

3 + years of BI consulting, health research, customer reporting, epidemiology or pharmaceutical industry analytic experience working with health care data, metrics, systems and standards

3+ years of experience in requirements gathering int the context of data systems and business intelligence application development and consult with non-technical business partners/stakeholders/clients on their needs for technology solutions.

3+ years of experience and proficiency with Excel, Access, Word and/or PowerPoint.


Preferred Qualifications

Strong problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and project management skills

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management

Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently


Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Social Science, Healthcare or related discipline preferred; or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $149,328.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
