JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is seeking an organized, detail oriented, and team-oriented professional for the position of Senior Manager, Catering & Special Events.

This Senior Manager takes the lead in planning, executing, and supervising the special events within the FOX Lot and off-lot events. The Senior Manager, Catering & Special Events also supervises the proper planning and set-up of catering set-ups within the FOX Lot and FOX Plaza as needed. This Senior manager is also responsible for implementing the Fox Corporation policies and procedures and ensures that the standards set forth by the Department of Public Health are met when setting up catering and special events.

Identifying the manpower requirements needed for special eventsCreating special events sign-up sheets for FOH employees and submitting final sign-up sheet to FinanceBooking event captains and temp labor and creating gate passes, as neededCreating staff assignments and shift schedule, based on event needsCoordinating with the BOH team to align with product availability, product ordering, flow of service, food presentation, and display requirementsReviewing rental requirements, including buffet equipment and linensOrdering linens for special eventsCreating special event pull listsManaging the set up and strike of special eventsManaging the event staffLeading the event pre-shift staff meetingsSigning in and signing out temp staffSending actual temp hours to the staffing agenciesSupervising the pulling and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages needed for special eventsProper counting, returning, and storing of unused beverages for special eventsCompleting beverage consumption sheets, after special eventsCompleting special event recaps, after special eventsClosing and charging the special events paperwork on the POS systemManaging the special event and catering equipment storage areas and inventoryProcuring special events equipment, as neededManaging the timely set up and strike of catering set-upsCoordinating with Food Services Managers regarding the staff assignment for cateringsBooking of additional temp labor and creating gate passes, if neededSending actual temp hours to the staffing agenciesMeeting with catering staff for briefing of catering set-upsPosting the daily catering paperwork at each food services outlet  Coordinating with the BOH team to align with outlet consistency with product availability, food presentation, display/ equipment requirements, plating, and set-up.Receiving actual beverage consumption counts from catering staffUpdating catering paperwork with the beverage consumptionClosing and charging the catering paperwork on the POS systemCreating buffet labels and any necessary signs for the special events and cateringSending clients copies of receipts for special events and catering charges.Other tasks and projects, as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

5-8 years of managerial experience in catering and special eventsFlexible schedule including evenings, early mornings, and weekends, based on special events and catering scheduleOrganized and detail orientedPositive attitude and a team playerStays calm under pressureAble to find immediate solutions for issues/ problems that arise during special events and catering set-upStrong written and verbal communication skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $67,000.00-85,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
