Position Summary

The EMEA Compliance team is responsible for working with various stakeholders across the EMEA organization to help improve financial compliance, independently monitoring and providing expert advice to mitigate financial risk for our hotels. With responsibility for creating and maintaining tools to assist hotels understand and comply with finance policies, monitoring progress to provide relevant training and support to ensure high level of compliance and reduce financial risks across all EMEA hotels (leased and managed), the role is expected to act as an objective source of independent advice and seeking opportunities to ensure continuous improvement to protect the organization and increase efficiency.

What will I be doing?
\n\n
· Collaborate with various departments including Operations Finance, Internal Audit, APAC & Americas Compliance, Shared Service Centers, Research & Policy, Corporate Finance, Legal Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to compliance issues.
\n· Provide continuous support to hotels on compliance matters, including trainings and guidance, and enhance compliance tools and templates.
\n· Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance throughout the organization.
\n· Conduct peer reviews (SPACE) within EMEA region.
\n· Manage the administration of self-assessment (CSA) and peer review (SPACE).
\n· Analyze the results of CSA and SPACE to identify common issues and best practices, and implement relevant solutions such as training, advice on mitigating controls, and policy reviews.
\n· Contribute to the evaluation and streamlining of business processes, including support for technology developments to maximize efficiency and reduce risk.
\n· Work closely with Internal Audit, including facilitating follow up on remediation points post internal audits and maintaining SOX compliance.
\n· Collaborate with the Pre-Opening team to embed compliant processes from opening.
\n· Advise Shared Service Centers on process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and risk coverage.
\n· Understand and interpret Lease and Management agreements and provide compliance support related to these agreements.
\n· Complete above property SOX controls to the highest standard and timely remediation of any deficiencies.
\n· Assist in fraud investigations as needed.
\n· Distribute monthly compliance measures and progress to relevant stakeholders.
\n· Any ad hoc support across EMEA hotels.

Qualifications
\nTo fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
\n· BA/BS/bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of.
\n· Qualified accountant.
\n· Experience in hotel operations, with a good understanding of finance processes.
\n· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n\n
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
\n· Detailed knowledge of hotel operations, and systems used by Hilton finance.
\n· Good knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS & Sarbanes Oxley.
\n· Audit experience.
