Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Content Governance Strategy and Production is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the quality, consistency and compliance of all content produced by BDO. They oversee a team of writers and editors and work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce content standards, policies and processes. They are passionate about creating content that drives demand and helps support the development of a holistic firmwide content strategy program.
The Senior Manager understands content strategy and governance must be embedded into marketing, user experience, technology and creative – and enjoys helping connect these disciplines. The individual has a working knowledge of how SEO drives an optimized content experience and excels at working cross functionally to support building and executing complex content efforts. The individual is passionate about analyzing and drawing insights from external research studies, campaign analytics and business data to drive content that informs marketing programs and plans.
The Senior Manager is a unique blend of strategist, storyteller, researcher, and problem solver. They are a creative marketing and content professional with a strong writing background, excellent story-telling skills, and experience developing content throughout a full marketing funnel that appeals to key audiences. They achieve results in a matrixed environment and build consensus and buy-in for priority projects that require cross-firm collaboration.
Job Duties:
Works collaboratively across marketing and communications teams to develop strategies to ensure the quality, consistency, and compliance of all BDO content to build reputation and drive growth for the firm Provides value-added insights to business and marketing leaders on market relevant topics to drive content planning Stays up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to content governance and production Recommends innovative solutions to enhance content quality and efficiency Establishes and enforces content standards, policies and guidelines to ensure brand consistency and legal compliance, overseeing communication writing style documents to maximize quality and efficiency of writing Leads content review and approval processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of content Collaborates with cross-functional teams, as well as content development agencies and resources, to ensure content aligns with the company's goals and objectives Collaborates with marketing teams to drive the development of content editorial calendars to ensure visibility of planned content Develops a process and cadence for regular content audits and assessments; Provide analysis to stakeholders highlighting recommended areas for opportunity and improvement Provides guidance and training to content creators and stakeholders on content governance principles, processes, and tools Leads stakeholder interviews to extract key themes, stories, messages (rational/emotional), features and benefits Provides feedback and guidance leading to mutual agreement on content ideas related to firm services, solutions, and client-directed thought leadership Acts as BDO brand ambassador, helping to reduce risk and ensure the brand’s position and messaging are reflected accurately and consistently across all content forms Works with internal stakeholders - including internal and external communications, digital marketing, creative services, sales enablement, business line and industry marketing - to ensure integration across marketing and communications programs and teams aligned to the BDO brandSupervisory Responsibilities:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree, required; field of study in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, preferredExperience:
Seven (7) or more years of experience in professional services or B2B marketing and/or communications in progressive leadership roles, required Prior experience working as a content strategist or content marketing professional, required Prior experience managing marketing professionals, preferred Prior experience working in the accounting, financial consulting, business advisory, technology and/or banking industries, preferredSoftware:
