Job Purpose
The Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the Controller and Assistant Controller in various accounting functions such as corporate accounting, financial reporting, revenue accounting, etc. This role will also support ad-hoc reporting, transactions, etc. This role requires collaboration with various teams to support accurate and timely reporting, business initiatives and enhance overall financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Reporting Oversight:Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.Support the annual audit processes, coordinating with auditors and ensuring timely resolution of issues.Conduct quarterly reviews and analyses of operational performance, enhancing flux analysis to provide actionable insights.Oversee aspects of corporate accounting operations including but not limited to cash, payroll, EMI. Debt and derivatives, equity and intercompany transactions.Support and oversee aspects of revenue accounting such as review of billing workbooks, energy trading activity, among others.Process Improvement Initiatives:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the accounting function.Leverage technology and automation to streamline accounting processes.Support Business Initiatives:Support the organization’s readiness for the SunZia initiative, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.Project Support:Actively support initiatives such as M&A related due diligence activities, annual credit rating and FV analysis and Year-end adjusted cash flow reconciliations process, etc.Team Leadership:Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff to promote a high-performance culture.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork. QualificationsExperience/Qualifications/Education Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, CPA certification. Candidates should have at least 8-10 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. A thorough understanding of US GAAP accounting standards is required, with a strong GAAP technical accounting skill-set with broad knowledge and experience of external reporting requirements (some SEC-level experience preferred). Experience managing teams is required. Experience in the power generation or energy industry and knowledge of applicable industry accounting standards and interpretations is preferred.

The expected starting hourly pay range for this role is $70.00 - $85.00 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
