Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources

Essential Job Functions

Lead and manage a team of Human Resources Managers, Receptionists, and Mailroom Admins. Responsibilities include hiring, goal-setting, and fostering professional development through coaching, formal and informal feedback, and knowledge transfer. Develop, manage, and support the implementation of various initiatives aligned with the HR strategic plan. Advise management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, ensuring compliance across the organization. Administer human resource plans and procedures for all personnel; contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Partner with internal HR colleagues (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Operations) to deliver a cohesive and effective HR service. Serve as a trusted and credible coach and advisor to individuals at all levels within the organization. Act as a liaison between management and employees, swiftly resolving issues to minimize escalation and reduce risk. Conduct thorough, objective investigations into employee complaints and work with managers/employees/leadership to ensure timely resolution of issues. Assist managers with employee performance issues, including developing coaching plans and addressing performance improvement needs. Collaborate with management and employees to foster strong work relationships, improve morale, and enhance productivity and retention. Analyze people-related metrics and trends, offering actionable insights and recommendations to leadership. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or modified as needed. Act as a liaison between management and employees to quickly resolve employee relations issues preventing escalation and potential risk and liability. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations concerning employee complaints and works with managers/employees/leadership to ensure prompt resolution of employee concerns.  Assists managers with employee performance issues, the development of coaching plans and performance improvement needs. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Management or related field. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred. Strong working knowledge of employment law. Experience implementing human resource processes and programs in multi-site, multi-state locations preferred. 5-7 years’ true Generalist experience (e.g. Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Staffing, Onboarding, etc.) with a strong background in Employee Relations. 3 – 5 years’ experience supervising. Discretion, professionalism and use of good judgment while working with confidential and sensitive information. Superior communication skills – convey confidence, empathy and trust via candor and diplomacy to build effective relationships across all levels. Comfort with ambiguity and a dynamic work environment. Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities. Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict resolution. Ability to succeed in fast paced, growth-oriented company. Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment. Ability to travel occasionally to other sites.
