Walmart Creative Studio (WCS) is the in-house creative agency for Walmart. Our team develops breakthrough and distinctive design systems and creative conversations that drive business objectives and keep our Fortune #1 brand in the culture. The Content Studio is WCS’s on site production capability. We are a team of creative makers who are experts in the intersection of craft and technology necessary to tell the most innovative and compelling stories through experiences, art, design, video, photography, motion graphics, animation, and sound. Our Playa Vista state of the art production facility sits in the heart of silicon beach.

What we’re looking for:
You are an experienced professional with hands-on skills bidding, budgeting, line producing, managing shoots, activations and events, editorial and postproduction; animation and visual effects for all channels and platforms. You can identify, leverage, and manage the ecosystem of talent that makes up these workstreams across the globe. You are adept at working with union and non-union crews, scale and celebrity talent, and developing strong relationships with creative and production partners. You can source and produce for independent directors, DPs, photographers, motion artists, designers, editors and VFX artists; and BTL crew. You can define and execute a project calendar and deliver assignments on budget and on time. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to pivot to problem solve. You are excited by the potential to leverage the scale of Walmart to make an impact within the production community; and your ability in this role to inform and drive this impact.

Responsibilities
Work autonomously with agency producers and Studio Director to scope, bid, pitch/treat, and crew jobs
Able to function as on-site subject matter expert to provide insights and rigor to agency (WCS) production (IP) and creative teams
Experience across the production lifecycle from in-camera capture to multi-channel deployment
Expertise in postproduction, motion design, animation and VFX; and the crew resources needed to bid and execute across those disciplines; strong understanding of physical production (still/motion)
Prepare bids and oversee execution of productions within the studio
Manage a team made up of editors, VFX artists, Motion design, and production support; DP /photographers
Work with Studio Director to set up rates (internal and external); bidding guidelines and SOPs for artists and maker teams within the studio
Work with agency producer, legal and business teams to secure usage rights, assess risk, and clear work for distribution. For example, execute production releases, talent releases, license library music
Clearly communicate project status with stakeholders regularly
Ongoing review of Studio processes and practices with an eye toward enhancing and increasing effectiveness
Put repeatable processes in place that help the team plan, manage multiple parallel projects, and run our business
Mentor the teams, help ensure smooth operations, a friendly and calm workspace for our teams to be inspired; and a studio experience that leaves our clients and partners wanting more
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a producer with production-company side experience in video/motion, print, digital/experiential, social and advertising
4+ years of experience leading project delivery for large, cross functional, projects
AICP/AICE bidding formats and guidelines
DGA/SAG/AFTRA. Expert with payroll, IC guidelines, ABC Law (California)
Experience with production insurance wraps and contracts
Experience with content creators, influencers; and influencer agencies
Extensive contacts in photography, video and post (VFX, animation, design) industries
An online portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great solutions across a range of production-related issues
Background working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with ATL/BTL crew
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent understanding of photo, video, and animation work production company work pipelines
Able to identify and mitigate risk on projects
Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Marketing/creative agency experience, in-house experience.
Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
