We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager of Data and Analytics to lead our data services team. This role will oversee the management, development, and expansion of our data warehouse, semantic models, and analytics capabilities, including database operations, data integrations and visualizations. You will play a key role in driving the organization’s data strategy, ensuring seamless access to data while fostering a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure data services, data warehousing, business intelligence, and team leadership, with a focus on driving business outcomes through data.
Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Lead the development of the organization’s data analytics technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and promoting a data-driven culture. Lead technical decision-making to ensure alignment with the firm’s technology roadmaps and long-term strategy. Act as a key partner to business stakeholders, identifying opportunities to leverage data systems to improve processes, support decision-making, and drive strategic use of information. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of the value of data analytics solutions and promoting their adoption. Manage the successful deployment and support of a data analytics technology portfolio, focusing on data management, analytics platforms, solution architecture. Oversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of data warehouses, ensuring data and semantic models are user-friendly and support self-service analytics. Drive the development and optimization of data integration processes, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), leveraging tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure DevOps. Mentor and develop data engineers and BI professionals, providing regular coaching, feedback, and support to foster their growth. Ensure the effective allocation of resources and the management of project timelines and budgets. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data technologies, tools, and methodologies, continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve data systems. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of data analytics solutions.
The qualifications.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in developing and supporting data analytics platforms, including data warehousing, BI, and big data solutions. 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise-wide BI and data analytics initiatives. Proven experience managing all aspects of data warehousing, including designing, building, and maintaining SQL data structures, stored procedures, and ETL processes. Extensive experience with Data integration tools. Prefer strong expertise in Azure Analysis Services, SQL, Power BI, and related Microsoft data platforms. Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring team members, and fostering professional development. Experience with data governance, data quality, and compliance standards, ensuring the integrity of organizational data assets. Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and articulate the value of data-driven solutions. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, delivering results within defined timelines. Experience with vendor management and collaboration with external partners to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
