Job Description:

Job Summary

Data Risk Management (DRM) is responsible for the oversight and challenge of data management activities across the TD footprint. We act as proactive and trusted advisors to TD business lines and support an effective risk culture.  Reporting to the AVP, Data Risk Management, the Senior Manager will act as a Data Risk subject matter expert, supporting challenge of business segments and data-centric teams across TD.  This role will liaise with ORM 2A partners to conduct data risk challenge and provide data risk input on standard ORM challenge activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supports and operationalizes the oversight and challenge coverage plan, challenge methodology in alignment with standards and industry expectationsInteracts with business segments, corporate functions and data-centric teams in assessment of data controls and related risksDevelops strong relationship with business segment and corporate function ORM 2A teams to integrate data risk awareness and reportingWorks collaboratively with business partners to keep abreast of issues and escalate as necessaryAct as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor on data risksStays knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends and regulatory requirements to enable understanding of impact on TD BankLeads a high performing team, providing ongoing coaching and feedback through performance reviews and career planning

Job Requirements

University degree or equivalent experienceKnowledge of data management, data governance and operational risk with 10+ years relevant industry experienceExperience in oversight and challenge activities and understanding of 3 Lines of Defense.Working knowledge of data regulations and industry trendsExceptional writing skills with the ability to draft superior quality reports, procedures and internal correspondenceStrong leadership and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and in a matrix structure with multiple stakeholders at varying levels.Ability to operate effectively with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment and competing priorities

Additional Information:

University degree (BComm, BSc) or comparable professional education/trainingData management certifications (ex. DCAM, DAMA) preferred

Travel Requirements

Travel to US Business Locations Required – up to 20%
