The Senior Manager will be a key leader, responsible for owning product deliverables, driving technical excellence, and leading high-performing teams in Flexera’s Cloud Cost Optimization solution space. This role demands hands-on experience in managing teams and a deep understanding of building scalable, high-performance microservices-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Deliverables:

End-to-end ownership of software product development deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.Collaborate with product management and design teams to align technical deliverables with business goals.

Technical Leadership:

Architect, design, and guide the implementation of microservices-based applications using Golang.Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and deployment standards.Stay updated with the latest technology trends and bring innovation to the team.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development.Manage team dynamics and address challenges to maintain productivity and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and operations teams, to align technical priorities.Identify dependencies, manage risks, and ensure seamless coordination across teams.

Scalability and Performance:

Ensure systems are designed to scale and perform under increasing workloads.Optimize existing systems and workflows to achieve operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:12+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Proven expertise in building and scaling microservices-based architecture.Experience leading development teams working with the following tech stack is a plus: Go, React, Databricks, MongoDB, SQL, Microservices architectures, Docker and Kubernetes, Amazon EC2/S3/EKS/Kinesis or other cloud services.Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud-native development, and Data Lake technologies.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.Experience with Agile methodologies and development practices.
