Senior Manager, Digital Marketing

SENIOR MANAGER, DIGITAL MARKETING  

Position Summary:

Global Blood Therapeutics (GBT) is seeking a leader to enhance and optimize the Company’s focus on digital strategy and execution.  The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing in an individual contributor role and will report to the Director, Omnichannel Digital.  The candidate will lead the development and execution of an omnichannel plan for engaging customers as the role of virtual engagements continues to evolve.  This role promotes and grows marketing’s digital footprint to drive desired behavior change.   This position will be based in South San Francisco, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and execute the media plan for HCP and DTC customers.  Identify innovative channels and novel opportunities to help grow the brand that fit the speed, agility, and complexity of omnichannel engagement in the hematology market Draw on your demonstrated expertise across a range of practical digital disciplines such as paid media, SEO, digital analytics, UX design, email marketing, etc. to help amplify digital focus for the organization Partner with marketing functional leads to support brand strategy, tactics, and promotional efforts in pulling-through key messaging and campaign elements across digital and print channels Analyze data by mapping current digital tactics to identify gaps, opportunities, and insights to optimize spend, performance & ROI Lead digital media AOR to develop digital executions, process innovations, and methods to maximize reach & frequency of core targets (HCPs and patients) Partner with product marketing and creative AORs in executing against brand strategy Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost effective delivery of all programs Develop key metrics to measure success, analyze data, and recommend changes based on results Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with HCP/Patient/OLP Marketing, PRC, Compliance, IT, Corp Communications, Community Engagement & Partnership Collaborate with Medical, Legal and Regulatory colleagues to ensure an effective and productive promotional review process Create and support an environment of inclusion and excellence 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields.  Advanced degree preferred 6-9+ years of relevant experience, preferable within the bio/pharma industry with at least 2 years of digital marketing experience or digital analytics Experience providing guidance to team members Experience executing omnichannel/multi-channel campaigns and programs putting the customer at the forefront of everything we do Exceptionally strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate KPIs, present learnings based on data, and optimize Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and presentations), time management, planning, project management, organizational and negotiation skills Excellent self-starter initiative and team orientation.  Preference to operate quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Must have attention to detail, execution, and follow-through Proficiency in core marketing capabilities such as digital creative development, segmentation, investment optimization, etc. Experience in managing multiple external agency partners and internal marketing partners to meet deadlines in alignment with SOWs Travel required up to 20% (estimated) Proven ability to influence and solve problems
