Job Description:
Integration Mission Systems segment is seeking a Senior Manager for Hardware Engineering. The candidate will be tasked with managing/leading RF engineers, Digital engineers, FPGA engineers, EMI/EMC engineers and Mechanical engineers. The candidate should have design experience developing/testing RF/Digital LRU’s (Line Replacable Units) for airborne requirements. The candidate should have knowledge of MIL-STD-461G and RTCA DO-160G in regard to EMI/EMC testing and delivery of military aircraft. This position is responsible for managing the activities of Hardware Engineering in support of the delivery of military aircraft under contract. In addition, they will plan and administer procedures and budgets, lead staff hiring and development and make capital & non-capital budgetary recommendations.
Essential Functions:
Develop and/or review and approve Hardware engineering bidsDevelop and maintain Hardware Engineering staff to meet current and future business needs, inclusive of quantity and skills / experienceChampion continuous improvement and cost reduction with sector / segment leadershipDefine and endorse allocation of capital to maximize test capability and productivityDevelop and deploy Hardware Engineering process standards, enabling best in class execution, inclusive of quality, schedule and cost performance.Plan and manage department level budgetsMust be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders to include leadership, PMO, and other Engineering functions.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (or STEM equivalent) with a minimum of 15 years of related management/design experience Experience in the development and/or review and approval of engineering bidsExperience leading an engineering organization, inclusive of hiring and developmentExperience managing department level budgetsAbility to acquire and maintain a DoD Secret security clearancePreferred Additional Skills:
