Senior Manager, Employee Relations HR ANZ

What you’ll Do

As The Senior Manager of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for leading the employee and industrial relations agenda, developing strategies and leading enterprise agreement negotiations, managing complex workplace matters, and representing the business in tribunals.

This stand-alone SME role will develop and coach ER/IR capability within the HR and Operations teams and play an important role in ensuring our growth agenda is supported with commercially astute ER/IR service and advice.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Lead EBA strategy and negotiations, ensuring outcomes are strategic and commercial and enhance trust with our Associates. Manage all aspects of annualised salary risk. Lead complex workplace investigations Represent Americold in hearings, tribunals, unfair dismissal cases, etc, Develop and foster relationships with unions and third parties. Ensure Americold's employment practices and policies are compliant and supported with good governance. Own, review and improve the Americold HR policy suite, in partnership with global and ANZ colleagues. Act as the SME advisor on all employment terminations and redundancy programs. Develop and coach IR/ER capability in the HR and Operations teams. Lead the annual WGEA reporting process. Advise and collaborate on the employment aspects of complex workers' compensation/injury claims. Advise and support the IR/ER agenda for business growth. Support additional projects as required. Provide overflow HR Generalist support if required and capacity allows.

What Experience and Education You Need

Legal / employment law qualification to Bachelors degree or above preferred Experience leading representations in tribunals and unfair dismissal cases. Experience leading EBA negotiations in Australia and New Zealand Expertise in Australian and New Zealand employment law and good practice. The ability to develop trust with HR peers and deliver collaborative outcomes Strong planning and organisational skills Strong document management and writing skills. Communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing complex workplace investigations. Complex problem-solving skills Work ethic and can-do attitude
