Senior Manager, Finance

Scope of leadership role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Sr. Manager – Finance will be a business partner with the Chihuahua site leaders and responsible for the Controllership and Financial Analysis at the Chihuahua site. The Sr. Manager – Finance will compile and review the monthly results of the plant, understand the drivers of the performance, and present to cross-functional leadership the explanations for variances and additional commentary on performance. In this newly created position, the Sr. Manager will establish standard operating procedures and lead the Chihuahua Finance team to support growth of the site over-time. This position currently has one direct report.

The Chihuahua site will be a key manufacturing facility for the AMC Segment and the Sr. Manager will serve as an important leader within the site and within the Segment’s finance organization to ensure the successful ramp up of this site.  This role will maintain close working relationships with the Division Finance Directors, AMC Integration Controller and Chihuahua functional site leaders.  

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed review and analysis of monthly financial statements for the Chihuahua sitePrepare and present financial performance to cross-functional leadershipManage and develop a direct report, driving engagement and providing opportunities for growthReview and assist with the preparation of KPI’s and metrics for the manufacturing operations on a regular cadenceLead team and help create annual operating plan (AOP), develop monthly forecast, and review results, providing commentary to management and explanations for variancesLead and assist team in charge of Journal Entry accounting, cost roll, and capital expendituresTrack and record restructuring expenses monthly, ensuring charges are in accordance with policy, proper documentation is maintained, and required files are submitted to AMC Corporate Controllership team monthlyAssist with accounting and tax compliance reports for the Mexican Legal EntityLiaise with business unit teams to provide oversight and proactive support on internal controls, accounting policy requirements, and technical accounting matters.Identify areas for improvement within the plant and drive continuous improvement in the processes through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures, while embracing Regal Rexnord’s 80/20 principles.Implement processes to track and drive Continuous Improvement, Cost Productivity, Inventory Management, and Free Cash Flow initiatives at site to meet site and division targets.Support internal control assessments and establish and maintain effective design and operating effectiveness of internal controls of assigned processes in accordance with RRX policies/US GAAP and with the regulations and procedures as required by Mexican law.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA/Masters Degree a plusAt least 10 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment Previous FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment a plus Fluent in English (oral and written) requiredStrong leadership, team building and project management skillsAbility to focus on the overall objective for a given process or area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issuesCurious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedbackEngaging management approach that builds rapport and cohesiveness within the teamInsightful ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the functionAbility to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectivesMotivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.Strong flexibility to gain knowledge of a Site with multiple local Finance systems such as SAP, Hyperion and OneStream. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
