Position Title: Senior Manager, Food Safety and Quality Assurance
Compensation: $140,000 - $163,500
Location: Plano, TX

About the Role:
At KFC, we’re all about serving high-quality, safe food to our guests, and we need a passionate Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) to help us maintain our reputation for food excellence! In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the highest food safety standards across 300+ suppliers, distribution centers, and 4,500+ restaurants. You’ll be the driving force in developing and enforcing food safety standards, managing crisis situations, and collaborating with top teams to protect our brand. Ingredients You’ll Need:

Crisis Management Expertise: Lead the charge in food safety crisis resolution and provide on-the-ground support during critical incidents. QA Hotline Mastery: Oversee and continuously enhance the Quality Assurance Hotline to ensure rapid issue resolution and dependable support for restaurant operators. Strategic Data Analysis: Use data and industry trends to spot FSQA opportunities and improve our product designs and restaurant operations. Compliance Guru: Ensure KFC’s alignment with Yum! Internal Audit requirements, and represent KFC in external compliance audits. Risk-Ready: Develop and enforce top-notch food safety practices across restaurants, suppliers, and distribution centers to minimize risks and enhance safety. Stay Ahead of Emerging Trends: Collaborate with Yum! brand leaders to manage emerging food safety issues and strengthen supplier and distribution center standards. Regulatory Expertise: Stay on top of FDA, USDA, GMP, GFSI, AIB, HACCP, and other regulations to ensure compliance. Supplier Evaluation Pro: Lead the RFP process, assessing supplier performance, risks, and compliance with KFC’s high standards. Supply Chain Resilience: Manage the Alternate Vendor Approval (AVA) process to ensure our supply chain is secure and resilient. FSQA Roadmap Visionary: Develop a 3-year FSQA strategy that aligns with KFC’s ambitious growth goals. Quality Standards Expert: Define and implement clear product, raw material, and in-process inspection standards that meet consumer and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Ensure quality policies are enforced, support new product development, and streamline operational procedures

What You Bring to the Table:

Experience: At least 10 years in progressive roles within Poultry Quality Assurance, ideally in quick-service restaurants (QSR) or franchisee-supported operations. Expertise: Strong background in regulatory compliance, food safety, and standards development for large-scale operations. Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing crisis responses. Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture to identify opportunities and drive strategy. Influence: Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams across KFC and external partners. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while honoring KFC’s legacy and values. Collaboration: A true team player with a passion for upholding the integrity and quality that KFC is known for.
