Senior Manager, Functional Safety

Ford EVDD is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up, breakthrough electric vehicles. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Proven track record in launching several Functional Safe products in high volume. Experience in resolving safety related field failures and developing processes to improve. 10+ years experience in the development of safety critical ADAS and EVs components and systems. 2+ years management experience. Ability to write detailed electrical hardware and software requirements.

Manage an astute and experienced team of Functional Safety / Systems engineers. Develop and define requirements for Ford’s next generation EVs, including functional safety and technical safety requirements. Develop a stream-lined FUSA process, so Ford will have best in class safety, while not over-engineering the vehicle electronics and software. Develop test plans and sign off on all functional safety requirements and tests. Influence high voltage and low voltage EE architectures. Ensure our next generation vehicle is compliant and exceeds relevant safety standards.
