SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Manager, Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial strategy and operational efficiency. This individual will lead planning, forecasting, and reporting activities while providing critical insights to guide executive decision-making. As a key leader within the finance team, the role requires strategic thinking, advanced technical skills, and a collaborative mindset to influence outcomes across the organization.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning/Forecasting
Serve as a superuser of the company’s financial reporting tools (e.g., Vena), ensuring effective utilization and continuous improvement. Manage and coordinate the company’s financial planning and budget management functions. Collaborate with Regional Finance leads and FP&A support teams to consolidate global Annual Plans and Quarterly Forecasts. Support the Global Executive Team to implement changes in plans/forecasts and communicate updates to regional teams. Lead and support the Annual Strategic Planning process in coordination with the VP and Director of FP&A. Maintain and manage the annual reporting calendar under VP/Director FP&A guidance, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Monthly/Quarterly reporting
Prepare the Global Monthly Management Reporting packages, providing actionable insights and identifying key trends. Assist the Director, FP&A, in management reporting to Shareholders, including preparation of the quarterly Board reporting package and Monthly/Quarterly Lender Reporting. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in financial presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical Support and Process Improvement
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and resolve complex business challenges. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure data accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Leverage advanced analytics and visualization tools to enhance decision support.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5–10 years of progressive FP&A experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles (3+ years). Expertise with financial reporting and planning tools (e.g., Vena) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to create executive-level presentations. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, adept at navigating ambiguity and delivering innovative solutions. Knowledge of accounting standards and principles (IFRS, Canadian ASPE) as it relates to capitalization, cost deferral, and leasing Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing competing deadlines.Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
