Senior Manager, Global FP&A

The Senior Finance Manager Global FP&A supports the Senior Director of FP&A by managing enterprise-wide financial planning and modeling, working closely with members of the global finance team to establish, execute, and improve processes relating to budgeting, forecasting, long range planning, capital and actuals financial analysis. It also prepares analysis to support decision making and preparing materials for Executive Management, Earnings Release and Board of Director meetings. This position requires an energetic leader who excels on talent development and continuous improvement activities.

What You’ll Be Doing: ​

Manage in collaboration with the Sr. Dir FP&A the quarterly reforecasting and annual budgeting process, inclusive of intercompany adjustments and NWC projections/targets to support cash forecasting which is utilized as a baseline for target setting and external guidance. Manage the timely delivery of enterprise level summary reporting of actuals and associated reports/bridges. Manage the capital budgeting process, forecasting, and allocation process. Supports standardization of Capital Investment Analysis and derivation of geographic hurdle rates. Work closely with the accounting team partners to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and earnings releases. Partner with the Controllership function to facilitate the monthly and quarterly close process. Support the Sr. Dir of FP&A on collaboration with Treasury on cash forecasting and actively participate the meetings with the NWC steering committee to identify risks and opportunities. Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with each business unit to drive transparency and governance and facilitate a deeper understanding and analysis of financial results. Support financial pulsing of the Company through risk and opportunities and sale flash summaries. Support the Sr. Dir of FP&A on the development of content to C-suite for Board of Directors meetings and quarterly earnings calls with presentations, comprehensive schedules, and insightful analyses, working closely with senior leadership, Investor Relations, and peers across the organization. This includes Board memos and Press Releases. Manage Post Completion Audit process on Capital Projects to gain learnings and effectively report to the Financial Policy Committee to demonstrate fiduciary diligence and compliance. Manages the Long-Range planning process in collaboration with the Sir. Dir of FP&A, driving standardization, systemization, and reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Collaborates building a strong culture and has the ability to present Sonoco as an attractive company by engaging with talent.

This is a hybrid role that would require in office attendance at either our Charlotte, NC location or at our HQ in Hartsville, SC.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred but not required8+ years of financial experience; Extensive knowledge in leading Forecast updates, Budgeting, and Long-Range Strat Plan preferredDeep FP&A analytical skills and modeling skills. Thorough understanding of financial process and procedures. Detail-orientated to drive forecasting accuracy. Experienced FP&A leader to develop process and define new tools and methods to develop budget and forecasts. Project management acumen to keep strategic initiatives on track with cross functional collaboration. Strong knowledge of consolidation systems (OneStream preferred). · Knowledge of manufacturing environments, the drivers of a P&L, as well as understanding of GAAP and US public company reporting requirements.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $151,040 to $169,920, plus annual target bonus of 14.5% of base salary.
