Senior Manager, Global Patient Safety Planning & Strategy

This role resides in Global Patient Safety and the Senior Manager of GPS Planning & Strategy works closely with the Director, Global Patient Safety (GPS) of Planning and Strategy (Chief-of-Staff), along with the GPS Leadership Team (LT) and the administrative office in support of the strategic planning and the operational management for the department of Global Patient Safety (GPS).

In this role, a typical day might include:

The Senior Manager of Planning and Strategy will report to the Director of GPS Planning and Strategy (Chief of Staff) and will partner across the GPS LT and the broader GPS organization in support of portfolio and departmental planning and will be a key partner and trusted advisor to CoS, and as needed, to the GPS Head and GPS Leadership Team (LT)

The Senior Manager will support the collation of tracking of critical program and departmental initiatives. They will contribute to the development of a cross-functional dashboard for SME (subject matter expert) to understand utilization and help the GPS organization assess and review requests, assignments and tracking etc.

This role will have an impactful, broad interface across different areas of GPS including with the GPS LT, administrative team and the broader team areas of GPS in support of planning, strategic communication and agenda development for departmental monthly meetings

Working with the CoS, this role will strengthen staff operations, strategic planning, and contribute to department communications in support the GPS, and help support a greater understanding of GPS across stakeholders (internally, externally)

As assigned: Working with the Director, the Senior Manager will participate with the department leadership team for semi-annual functional reviews and will contribute to evolve the practice and its strategic planning

As appropriate, this role may support other company-wide initiatives in support of GPS

This role might be for you if can:

Support departmental meetings, objective and goal setting, collation of cross-functional projects, review and tracking of GPS top deliverables, headcount and resource forecasting and helps to support team communications, and initiatives associated with the science of pharmacovigilance in support of GPS departmental requirements.

In collaboration with the Director of Planning & Strategy and RA Business Operations contribute to supporting a high-performing, strategic, effective, and pharmacovigilance-focused organization that is well-aligned with other functions and is cultivating a climate of operational excellence, team innovation, and continuous improvement as we continue growth into a global team.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following: ​

8-10+ years of industry experience with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Science-based degree preferred and experience in pharmacovigilance a plus, but not required.

This role is both strategic and tactical, and requires an agile thinker with strong planning ability, interpersonal and communication skills, along with scientific and business acumen to work across GPS and with our partners to advance strategic planning and team communication platforms of GPS.

Salary Range (annually)

$129,800.00 - $211,800.00
